When we get tired, when we get weary…

We tend to fall back in the pack.
We retreat.
We put in half the work.
We return half the calls.
Then the whisper starts:
"You didn't do enough."

Which quickly becomes:
"You aren't enough."
And just like that,
we're in the cycle.
Tired.
Weary.
Disconnected.
Trying to earn our way back to "enough."
But what if...
We remembered that the God who created us also created us to rest?
He didn't design us to run from sun-up to sun-down without pause.
No solitude.
No breath.
No time to be still.
"He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul."
— Psalm 23:2–3
What if, when we are tired and weary,
we let ourselves rest in the arms of the One who created us?
Perhaps we will be more in alignment with God's intended speed for us,
and our work will be calmer, richer, and far more purposeful.
So may we not resist the rest.
May we receive it as the holy gift it is.
And then, when the time is right,
May we return, not with hustle, but with the fire of His will in our bones.
